How to join the Michigan Chapter of the HTCIA

Qualifications for Membership

  1. Law Enforcement Officers, Investigators and Prosecuting Attorneys engaged in the investigation and/or prosecution of criminal activity associated with computers and/or advanced technologies. Each member shall be regularly employed by the Federal or State Government, or Local Municipality, OR
  2. Management Level and Senior Staff Security Professionals in the regular employ of private business or industry, the primary duties of which, are the control and responsibility for security and/or investigation in computer or advanced technology environments, or by virtue of his/her position or interest can provide, or have a need for information and training in the areas of computer and/or advanced technologies.

  3. Agreement and compliance with by-laws of the HTCIA. By-laws can be found here.

Acquire and Submit Application

  1. All chapters of the HTCIA use the same application form provided by HTCIA International headquarters, in Roseville, CA. Applicants can acquire an application here:

    In addition to your pertinent information, the application requires the names of two sponsors as well as signature approval by the Chapter President or Delegate. (The Membership Director will assist an applicant in gaining sponsors.)
  2. All applications should be typed or neatly printed and signed and dated by applicant. Then, mail or fax the application, along with a check or CC info (see Dues, below) to the HTCIA at:

Dues

First time members in the Michigan Chapter pay $60 for a year's membership.


Payment

A check for the correct amount must accompany application. Make check payable to "HTCIA, Inc."

DO NOT SEND CASH!

Billing

Renewal after the first year is $50, and you'll receive an invoice each January directly from HTCIA.

Approval for Membership

Applications are subject to approval by the HTCIA Membership Committee and are not valid until membership is approved. If an applicant is not accepted, their money will be refunded in full.
